Vera FleischerVera came to Southern California, U.S.A. as a German exchange student for the 93/94 school year. Thanks to the green card lottery won in '96, in 2000 she graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Economics. She moved to Virginia and finally got a job at Boxer Learning. Boxer was using Flash to create math tutorials for kids. Once she got her hands on Flash, she never let go. A year later she started a job as a Flash developer at the University of Virginia. When she relocated to San Francisco in 2002, she took her job at UVa with her. After telecommuting for nine months, she decided that she wanted to be around people again, so she accepted an offer from Macromedia as a QA Engineer on the Flash team. Since she cannot imagine having a job that doesn't revolve around Flash, she figured that working for Macromedia would be perfect for her, and for a while it was. Hey just wanted to let you know the list of Flash Gurus looks a bit weird in Firefox (1.5.0.1), it messes up the display of the comments bit (sometimes it's displayed halfway through the Flash Guru description). Like the site btw (: |
