    Player Installation Comparision Chart

    Why use Flash Video?

    • ready to play on almost all PCs worldwide. Imagine not having to worry about the platform. Or the format...
    • when the page loads, the video plays. So simple. No additional player installation, it runs in the Flash Player
    • use a traditional player window, or seamlessly blend the video into the background
    • create Flash Video (FLV) files directly from leading NLEs (Non Linear Editors) and encoding applications using a simple extension, included with Flash Professional
    • delivered from your own website as progressive download, or from a streaming solutions provider
     Some text quoted from Adobe.

Note: FLV files have no 16,000 frame limit like SWFs, they handle RAM in a different way than SWF files, so if you are creating large video files, it is strongly recommended that use FLV output.
When creating video for CD, you should use FLV video because it performs better.
FLV files do not share the SWF framerate, they play independently of any SWF file that you may load them into.
